No one sees the tears you wiped this very morning... no one sees the moments you keep quiet in order to maintain peace... no one sees the stress you carry (since you still smile) with the current "situations"... no one sees the messes you clean in order to keep cozy... no one sees the pie you baked in order to bring joy to the sorrowful... no one sees the sacrifices you make every hour of the day... no one sees what you go without so that others may have plenty... no one sees the prayers you send up for every one of those souls in your home and in your heart...
No one sees... but Him.
Glory Hallelujah.
"For the growing good of the world is partly dependent on unhistoric acts; and that things are not so ill with you and me as they might have been, is half owing to the number who lived faithfully a hidden life, and rest in unvisited tombs."
~ George Eliot
“Take heed that you do not do your charitable deeds before men, to be seen by them. Otherwise you have no reward from your Father in heaven."
~ Matthew 6:1

To God be the glory, great things He has done. Focusing on Him is a priority to being humbled and living rightfully. Blessings to you,

ReplyDeleteThank you so much! Have a beautiful day 🥀
DeleteHi, Jen!
ReplyDeleteI love to read your blog. I always learn something new!
Although unfortunatelly I'm not a mother, I'm a homemaker and I love my job. It's so good and fulfilling to take care of our house and make it a home...
Even if others don't see it that way, God does and that is what matters.
I wanted to ask you something and I hope you could answer me, if you wont mind! :)
What do you think of Facebook? I tried to find a Facebook link in your site, and couldn't and I'm thinking of quiting Facebook for good, but I am very divided.
Could you give me your insight as a christian woman? I would appreciate it.
God bless!
Hi there! Thank you for taking the time to share here 🥀
DeleteAs far as Facebook goes, you are correct, I am not on it. I chose not to because first of all, when it all started, I was still homeschooling and didn't think it would be wise to have that distraction. Now that I finished homeschooling, I still chose to stay away as I know myself... First off, I just mentally have a hard time seeing what everyone is doing every second of the day. It frustrates me for certain reasons and I don't think it would be a peaceful place for me. While I did join Instagram once I finished homeschooling, I am now having concerns about it. Basically, we all know ourselves, we know our downfalls, we know our weaknesses. Each person must make the decision for themselves. But be honest with yourself. Is it taking you away from your homemaking duties? Is is taking you away from studying the Scriptures? Is it making you feel discontent with your life or even other people because of their lifestyle choices? If so, I would step away...
Also, this verse comes to mind when it comes to social media. -- “For we hear that there are some which walk among you disorderly, working not at all, but are busybodies.” ~ 2 Thessalonians 3:11 -- I feel it would be easy for me to fall into this trap... being disorderly in my own life but being a busybody online...
While I can't give you a YES or NO answer, I hope this insight is helpful! ❤❤❤
Love,
JES
Hi JES, I LOVE your response about Facebook. I have been waffling about closing my FB account for some of the very reasons you mentioned. I was somewhat of a late comer to the FB world, and I did it to keep up with my children, one of which was working oversees and phone calls were much too expensive. I enjoyed it at first, but it has become a place of continual bickering and rudeness, and although there are many scriptures posted by some of my friends, I find overall that is a place of discontent and not uplifting. My daughter has been back in the US for several years, so that is no longer a reason to keep my FB account. Thank you for confirming what I have been sensing.
DeleteWhen we get these little nudges, I think they are for a reason.... This is the reason I stopped blogging for those 3 years... It just wasn't the time to do it. Though the decision is often hard to execute at first, it is always very rewarding once done ❤❤❤❤❤❤
DeleteSo very true but I have never seen it written before
ReplyDeleteThank you for doing that.
Lovely to read this today Jes. Just washed my floors and sat down whilst they dry. Such a pleasant site to see your S and P come up in my inbox. These sentiments today are just what is needed for homemakers in these difficult times.
ReplyDeleteBlessings Gail.
So needed this, this morning as I try so hard to make myself stretch for all that needs to get done. Praise the Lord, He is always there....
ReplyDeleteSo glad that He who loves us most sees all, for it is for Him that we do it. ❤
ReplyDeleteI continue to make my home for my family, which now includes my parents who moved in with us last month, despite every crazy thing going on. I've always tried to make my home a haven of peace for everyone to come home to and be at peace.
ReplyDeleteNot always easy, but I try.
This is beautiful, thank you. I am not on Instagram so I appreciate you sharing this here.
ReplyDeleteThis post has been such a comfort to me and encouragement. I've been reading it over and over. I was talking to my daughter today about those things that we sometimes will go through as woman of the home. Those things that we sometimes shoulder so that our home is not effected. Those things at times done in secret, and tears that fall. Praise God for being with us through it all.
ReplyDeleteI have lately begun reading your blog. It is really ministering to me. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteI wholeheartedly needed this reminder today. God knew i needed this! Thank you for posting.
