"Oh yes," replied Raggedy Ann, "I was so happy I forgot to tell you.
It had printed upon it in nice blue letters, 'I LOVE YOU.'"
~ Raggedy Ann Stories by Johnny Gruelle
While browsing a favorite website last year, I came across some "sweet" little bookmarks that they were selling for a "sour" little price. Here is my thrifty version which feature one of my favorite dolls. You are more than welcome to print them out for your little ones to encourage reading in your home. There is no better hobby to enrich the mind that you could bestow upon a child. A "love" for literature creates a lifestyle of learning!
Simply print or download your free copy from this link. They are best printed on a thicker card-stock and make a lovely gift when paired with a beautiful book. For extra fun, punch a hole at the top of the bookmark and attach some pretty ribbon.

Those are darling! I love the classic Raggedy Ann and Andy! :) That just reminded me of the wall hanging panel I have stashed away to get stitched up to decorate with. :)

ReplyDeleteOh, I bet your dolls were darling!!! Thanks for sharing! :)
DeleteI didn't read all the other comment above me but thought you would love to know a bit of wonderful information about Raggedy Ann and Andy the creator actually created them as a doll or character that would stand for parents against vaccines. After his daughter died after having a bad reaction to a vaccine. I love these dolls and thought that was just a little information that was neat to share.
ReplyDeleteHi there! Thank you for sharing this. I had read about that before and had contemplated bringing it up one day in a post... but as it is such a controversial subject, I haven't had the heart as of yet... His story really breaks the heart!! And I, like you, appreciate that bit of history on subjects of interest. Thank you for taking the time to share with me :) and any readers that may come across this comment!
