“All in all, it was a never-to-be-forgotten summer — one of those summers which come seldom into any life, but leave a rich heritage of beautiful memories in their going — one of those summers which, in a fortunate combination of delightful weather, delightful friends and delightful doing, come as near to perfection as anything can come in this world.”

Love the L.M.Montgomery quote. I remember one of those summers perfectly: I learned to ride a bicycle, spent time (all by myself) on my grandmother's farm milking the cow, peeling apples from the orchard, taking the salt shaker to the garden to eat ripe tomatoes right where I picked them, etc...a very good summer. Thank you for sharing your summer goodness links.
