“It always seems to me as if the lavender was a little woman in a green dress, with a lavender bonnet and a white kerchief. She’s one of those strong, sweet, wholesome people, who always rest you, and her sweetness lingers long after she goes away.”
~ Myrtle Reed (1874-1911)

ReplyDeleteI love Lillies they are just so beautiful.
ReplyDeleteOh, that is a tough question. Most likely dandelion and lavender. Dandelion is so versatile as food and medicine- and it grows freely. Lavender is peppery and calming and wonderful on burns and scars. As an herbalist I love so many herbs it is hard to choose as they all have such great uses.
ReplyDeleteRosemary because it smells fabulous and makes everything taste scrumptious!
ReplyDeleteI love honeysuckle, because when it is blooming the world smells so sweet!
ReplyDeleteI absolutely love lilacs! They make me smile every spring.
ReplyDeleteI must say, I love lavender for it's smell.
ReplyDeleteMy daughter had given me some lavender spray awhile beck to spray on my pillows and such and just enjoyed the fragrance.
Thank You for this wonderful giveaway opportunity

It really is a toss up between lavender and lemon. Each one has such unique properties. We love lemon-infused olive oil and I use lavender sachets in the drawers and blanket chest that store my quilts.
ReplyDeleteI love carnations. They smell so wonderful and in addition to the colors they naturally come in, they can be colored just about whatever color you want!
ReplyDeleteI cannot imagine trying to choose a favorite herb from the innumerable wonderful choices. I enjoy growing and using parsley, rosemary, thyme, chives, basil, garlic chives, fennel, sage all as culinary herbs. I've not developed skill using herbs as medicinals or for their delightful aromatic qualities.
ReplyDeleteI am fond of rosemary, because it goes so well with my favorite dishes.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite herb flower is chive flowers. They are edible and fun in salads and I like them in my scrambled eggs.

ReplyDeleteI like many, but French tarragon, which I continue to purchase from sellers online and try to grow in NE Florida, very unsuccessfully, is my favorite . After too many plants succumbing to our heat and humidity, I think it’s time for me to give the poor tarragon plants a break.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite herb is mint/peppermint.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite herb is tulsi, holy basil. Calms me!

ReplyDeleteLavender is definitely one of my top favorites. I also love thyme & catmint.

All God's flowers and herb are so full of beauty both to behold and fragrances but my absolute favorite is lavender with a close second of vanilla. God is so kind to show us His love in this way. Thank you for all of your content and beauty. take good care of yourself and your family.. Kindly....
ReplyDeleteMy favorite herb is rosemary. It is so delicious in dishes and so wonderfully fragrant. It is the herb I love to touch in my herb garden just to have the scent on my hands.
ReplyDeleteI seem to gravitate toward the Rose. The smell can be subtle or strong, and I enjoy either one. I especially like the fragrance in my bathroom and bedroom.
ReplyDeleteI love dandelions. They make lovely "honey" and they tend to be the weeds that no one wants. They're also terrific for your liver and the leaves make a wonderful salad. That makes them a little extra special to me.
ReplyDeleteI love lilies because of their amazing scent!
ReplyDeleteAnd I love thyme for all these properties and its taste.
I can't find your instagram?
ReplyDeleteThe link is on sidebar under my bio ❤️π
DeleteIt has to be lavender. My gran always had lavender in her garden and from being very young I remember making lavender bags every year with her. x
ReplyDeleteOhhh, not sure how I can pick one favorite herb - there are so many to choose from! Hmmm, I would think that lavender is definitely high on my list, but there are also beautiful qualities to rosemary, peppermint, calendula ... oh, so many to choose from!
ReplyDeleteThis giveaway is darling. Thank you for sharing!
Lavender is my favorite herb, been using Jes's fabric softener recipe for years now.
ReplyDeleteThis is a difficult choice. At present I am enjoying the basil fresh form the garden. The next is rosemary fresh from the garden. My lavender died this winter so I am on the hunt for a replacement.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite flower would have to be old fashioned roses, because they are just so lovely!
ReplyDeleteI confess lavender is my weakness as well- have grown it since I was a teenager! I diffuse the EO in a diffuser to help my kiddos sleep sweetly, also.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite flower is, without a doubt, CARNATION! The fragrance alone carries me away to sweet Peace. The most abundant herb in my gardens is thyme and I LOVE it, but I believe that Plantain would be my favorite herb because it is so useful for bug bites and yard injuries which abound on our place. The grandkids seem as plagued by them as ever my own kids were. I appreciate Plantain for its tremendous healing properties for so many kinds of scrapes and bites. The kids can apply it themselves as I keep the salve within reach always. Of course, they can also chew and apply a poultice of it, as well.
ReplyDeleteI do love lavender! Although I think that peppermint is my very favourite herb that I use most often.
ReplyDeleteOne day I would like to get a diffuser..but for now I add my essential oils to hot candle wax or put drops in my sink to freshen the air.
My favorite herb is lavender! I like its sweet, relaxing smell.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite herb is lavender! I like it's sweet, relaxing scent.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite herb is sweet mint , followed closely by Lemon balm...I love tea made with these and consume them often...My favorite flower is echinacea
ReplyDeleteI was going to say lavender, because it is so very versatile. And I love peppermint too ... but probably my very favorite would be chives and chive flowers. I love how chives come back year after year and how often they are the very first fresh things that can be used in spring. A couple years ago I made chive flower vinegar. It is beautiful as well as delicious!
ReplyDeleteI love lavender and do use it in sachets. I have the hardest time growing it. Beautiful giveaway. Thank you. Hugs,
ReplyDeleteLavender! It’s a game changer ♥️
ReplyDeleteI love Lavender, too, and Chamomile! Lavender is so nice smelling and it has so many wonderful uses from helping with sleep to skin issues!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite herb is Rue. It is my favorite, because it is called the Herb of Grace. It is very pretty to grow.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite is lavender. I love the smell and the medicinal uses. Rosemary and thyme are some favorites also. I once had a beautiful rosemary plant that was probably three feet in diameter.
ReplyDeleteThat is an incredibly difficult question, as there are so many herbs and flowers I love! I think I will choose peonies. The pale pink ones which grow in my garden are not only luxuriantly beautiful, but smell truly heavenly. God is so generous in His gifts to us. :)
ReplyDeleteHello JES...thank you for hosting such a lovely giveaway! I know whoever wins will be blessed! I tried to comment through the separate page that stars the post question, but it didn't seem to go through.
ReplyDeleteAnyway, my favorite herb is lavender. I love it as a tea and also use it in closet sachets. The scent is very soothing and it has many health benefits.
Blessings to you!

ReplyDeleteThere are so many wonderful things in life that I have such a hard time whenever someone asks me what my favorite of anything is. With herbs/flowers my top three are lavender, rose, and mint, but I guess I'll say mint because it's so easy to grow, there are fun variations of it, and I really like the taste and benefits of the tea. Thanks for a chance to enter the giveaway.

ReplyDeleteHi! What a sweet giveaway! My favorite herb is Basil and my favorite flowers are Lilacs! God bless you!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite herb is dill. It smells wonderful and tastes wonderful too. I like to sprinkle it on salmon. And I make a great tasting dill dip - equal parts mayo and sour cream, add dried minced onion, a little salt, a tiny bit of sugar and of course lots of dill!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite flower is the peony. They remind me of a giant rose which is another favorite flower of mine. Also, the scent is amazing and reminds me of my special Grandma who has now gone to heaven. She used to grow them and would give me some to take home when I was a little girl. Lavender is such a lovely calming and relaxing flower and plant. Thank you for this beautiful giveaway!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite herb is lavender. I love to make small sachet fabric bags to hold the lavender buds. I tuck these into gift bags or boxes to share with others. I'm always amazed that even sachets I've had for a long time keep their smell. Thank you so much for such a sweet giveaway. Blessings.
