However, just lately, they seem less pungent or fresh, so have started to make my own peels since I regularly use/eat oranges and lemons. For some reason the feel of the membrane in my mouth makes me gag (sorry about being so descriptive)
I was informed recently that there is a lot of goodness in orange pith, so if we are making a smoothie we should leave it in.
The same person also said that apple pips should be left in, but I am sure that in large amounts they are toxic. So why risk a build up?
I have been glancing down your side bar and there is so much to read.
Many thanks from across the pond.Callyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08105595081974160901noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-137578215906638858.post-37241263330894122582014-01-16T14:12:59.229-06:002014-01-16T14:12:59.229-06:00Thanks Kathy for taking the time to comment sweetl...Thanks Kathy for taking the time to comment sweetly :)JEShttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08300505126646960374noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-137578215906638858.post-51401459086801123802014-01-16T14:12:28.943-06:002014-01-16T14:12:28.943-06:00Thanks :) It is actually pretty fun! Thanks :) It is actually pretty fun!JEShttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08300505126646960374noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-137578215906638858.post-59761778368461364742014-01-16T14:09:30.413-06:002014-01-16T14:09:30.413-06:00wonderful post-I love how you made the tea bags! t...wonderful post-I love how you made the tea bags! thanks
Kathykathyinozarkshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01644138355524729156noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-137578215906638858.post-11491251272181064592014-01-16T12:54:12.307-06:002014-01-16T12:54:12.307-06:00Oh my, this would be lovely to make! Right now he's putting commercial tea bags in it that he'd already purchased, but he recently asked me to find a way to buy bulk tea to use in the press. He has tried several of the Tazo brand teas and we have mandarins on hand right now - I'll start saving those peels!Meloniehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09218572127310877215noreply@blogger.com
