"But if work-baskets were gifted with powers of speech, they could tell stories more true and tender than any we read. For women often sew the tragedy or comedy of life into their work as they sit apparently safe and serene at home, yet are thinking deeply, living whole heart-histories, and praying fervent prayers while they embroider pretty trifles or do the weekly mending."
~ Louisa May Alcott, An Old-Fashioned Girl

Greetings from Greece,
ReplyDeleteGood morning, JES. Fun to take part, again in your link up!
Have a wonderful week,
Poppy
The quote you've chosen today describes my current situation so perfectly. Crocheting granny squares with a combination of racing thoughts and fervent prayer.

Love the quote, and I think a lot of garments could also be called prayer cloths.
ReplyDeleteHave a great Monday!
Thanks for hosting! Have a blessed week!
ReplyDeleteThanks for hosting the link-up!
ReplyDeleteHi JES,
ReplyDeleteI have always enjoyed linking up with you, but am having trouble with files that are too large. Would you ever consider using another link-up called inlinkz?
Thanks always for hosting. It's such a fun way to meet other bloggers.
Blessings.
Carol
Hi Carol, I am sorry about the problem you are having! It's interesting because I often have issues accessing the inlinkz link ups from other link ups. It will often freeze up or not show up on the blog from my end. But... my subscription is up in May from Linky Tools (I think) and I will look into the other at the point to see if it would work out. So sorry about your troubles. I know how frustrating that is! I wonder if any one else is having these same issues?
DeleteThank you so much Jes for the feature! I always enjoy your party! I will be back to look around. Thanks for hosting!
ReplyDeleteHi Jes, thanks so much for hosting!
ReplyDeleteDear Jes, Thanks so much for mentioning Bluebirds! I am loving your preparedness series and each week I seem to find a new blog via your link up. Last week it was the amazing storage room of Gigi. Love!
ReplyDeleteWith love and thanks, Annabel.xxx
