The Art of Home-Making Mondays ~ Please Join Us ~ Link Up 116

“The morning cup of coffee has an exhilaration about it which the cheering influence of the afternoon or evening cup of tea cannot be expected to reproduce.”
~ Oliver Wendell Holmes Sr.
There are so many wonderful features in the making of a home. This is a place where I would love for you to share your love for anything home-related. Homemakinghomeschooling and homesteading are all a part of the lovely art of home-making!

~~Please link up posts in the spirit of Titus 2 and Proverbs 31 (such as recipes, godly encouragement, DIY's, frugal living, child-raising, medicine making, preparedness, gardening, home decoration, school lessons, sewing, crafts, etc). ~~ You are welcome to share as many posts as you like!

~~ Features will be shared at the end-of-the-month link up. ~~

Please do forgive me if you are a tea person in the morning, but for me, there is nothing like that cup of steaming hot coffee, sweetened with local honey and a generous splash of raw cream! To read how I love to start my mornings, please visit "She Riseth Early".

And while we are on the subject, I have been working on making the switch for this blog's printables to Google Docs since so many had troubles with the last program. Our latest additions are from of our favorite collection of "coffee" and "chocolate" related posts (which happen to be well loved topics over here)! To begin, here is our printable recipe for a DIY Blended Mocha. You will also find other frugal coffee ideas for making blended and iced coffee drinks.

“All you need is love.
But a little chocolate now and then doesn't hurt.”
~ Charles M. Schulz

When you are desiring to indulge, here is a decadent but easy chocolate dessert! You will find the printable recipe for our Chocolate Dream Filled Cake {here}.

And to be a kind-hearted woman, I will share some chocolate recipes that are of the healthier but still delicious variety! To begin, we will start with the classic chocolate chip cookie which we made a bit more nutritious without comprising the original flavor. You will find the printable recipe here along with some "very important" chocolate chip cookie history.

For a rich and healthier version of a Cup of Gold Bar (my childhood favorite), please visit this post for the printable recipe and tutorial.

For a delicious muffin that will please most palettes without the guilt factor, you will find our printable recipe for these {Grain-Free} Peanut Butter Chocolate Chunk Muffins.

And finally, here is our printable recipe for some satisfying Chewy Chocolate Chip Granola Bars that are very easy to make and without any added preservatives like you would get in a purchased box!

And now it's your turn! What about you? Tea or coffee in the morning? And what do you "take" in it? Please leave a comment below! And what about chocolate? A necessity, a splurge or not necessary at all?

On to this week! For the sake of our readers, please link up appropriate and wholesome home-related articles and leave out any giveaways, advertisements, etc. Thank you for understanding! I can't wait to see what you all have to share!

**Please also note that the posts shared on this link up from other bloggers do not necessarily reflect my own personal views or opinions (meaning I do not condone every article that may appear here). Like all literature, please discern everything you read with the Holy Scriptures as your lens.**

As a favor, I would love for you to copy the button below (html code is in box below it) and share it on your blog post or side-bar so others can come and join in the link up as well!

  1. Thanks for hosting, JES! I'm super excited about trying (at least) one of the recipes you share at the beginning of the party. :)

    Have a great week!

  2. Thank you for hosting, JES. Your hop is always my favorite part of Monday morning!

  3. I agree with Mr. Holmes, Sr.. I drink tea now and then, but it just can't produce the joy that a morning cup of coffee delivers every single time. I am drooling over those chocolate recipes.
    Have a great day!

  4. Jes,
Thanks so much for hosting each week and thanks for taking the time to time and then let me know that you did by commenting!!

  5. Dearest Jes, morning coffee is a must at this home also! Thank you for the delicious sounding recipes. It is wonderful to be a homemaker! Have a great week, Lynn

  6. JES, what a "sweet" post-- my mom's specialty was chocolate chip cookies. She gave them as gifts at Christmas, and everyone looked forward to receiving them. As for the coffee v. tea debate, I will get in trouble here by admitting I have a cold Diet Mt. Dew first thing! Your wonderful posts have made Mondays much more pleasant! God bless and keep you! Janis

    1. Oh my!!! Well, they say admitting is the first step! :)

  7. Coffee and chocolate... Two of my favorite things! ;-) -Marci @ Stone Cottage Adventures

  8. Thanks for hosting Jes! I am always a fan of healthy chocolate! Great features!

  9. Thank you for sharing the recipes as well as hosting the link-up. :-)

  10. Hi Jess, I enjoy tea while doing my Bible study, but a cup of coffee with our breakfast! I think your chocolate goodies all look amazing!
    Happy Summer...
    Hugs, Roxy

  11. Thank you for hosting. Yummy looking features this week. Hope your week is blessed.
