"Here is a good New Year's resolution for us all to make: To simplify our lives as much as possible, to overcome that feeling of haste by remembering that there are just as many hours in the day as ever, and that there is time enough for the things that matter if time is rightly used."
~ Laura Ingalls Wilder, On Wisdom & Virtues

  2. Happy New Year to you, Darling Friend, and thanks most sincerely for hosting me today with a post that I think should be a quite curios tale for a child, even if it's a piece of Victorian History!

Hope you've enjoyed all the warmth of your family and your home during these festive days, I'm sending many blessings on your days to come

  11. Your site just helps me exhale...you've created a place pleasing to the eye and soul. The Young Victoria movie caught my eye b/c I'm always looking for clean, interesting movies. Thanks so much! My youngest 2 are waiting to ride bikes but I'm marking to come back and linger over some of the links. Happy New Year to you, JES.

  12. Thank you for the encouraging words from Laura Ingalls Wilder, and the darling pug pic. Is that your dog? We just lost our last pug at 13 1/2 years.

    1. I am so sorry to hear that!!! Ours is 12 years with us and I love her dearly. The variety God put into dogs is amazing and pugs in my opinion are the most precious.

    2. Well, she is beautiful, and I'm glad you enjoy her. I agree that pugs are the most precious. Ours were smart and affectionate, and so good natured, even when they were ill. Thank you for sharing a little bit about her~!
