The Art of Home-Making Mondays ~ Please Join Us ~ Link Up 103

“It is impossible to estimate full influence of the reading of the Word in a home day after day and year after year. It filters into the hearts of the young. It is absorbed into their souls. It colors all their thoughts. It is wrought into the very fiber of their minds. It imbues them with its own spirit. It’s holy teachings become the principles of their lives, which rule their conduct and shape all their actions.”
~ J.R. Miller (1840 - 1912)
There are so many wonderful features in the making of a home. This is a place where I would love for you to share your love for anything home-related. Homemakinghomeschooling and homesteading are all a part of the lovely art of home-making!

~~Please link up posts in the spirit of Titus 2 and Proverbs 31 (such as recipes, godly encouragement, DIY's, frugal living, child-raising, medicine making, preparedness, gardening, home decoration, school lessons, sewing, crafts, etc).~~ You are welcome to share as many posts as you like!

* Please visit and leave some comment love
for a few of our features from the last month's worth of entries: *

* Since I skipped features for a few weeks, I gleaned from the prior link ups too! :)

1. Real Food Cheesecake Parfaits by A Chat Over Coffee ~ I love that these contain honey instead of sugar and what a quick and cute way to present a dessert. This would be fun for a picnic lunch!

2. The Secret About Congestion that Doctors Won't Tell You by Next to Natural ~ I found this to be true for myself though I was in denial for quite some time about it. No more waking up with a morning cough!

3. Make Your Own Jewelry Hanger by Much More Creative ~ Brenda shares a darling tutorial for making your own jewelry hanger!

4. Feed Sacks from Grandma by LL Farm ~ I enjoyed looking through Lori's feed sack selection from her grandmother. What wonderful treasures from the past and so many fun ways to repurpose them!

5. Mealtime Conversation Starters {Free Printable} by Kentucky Sketches ~ Tanya shares a wonderful printable that we have been enjoying during dinner time. The conversations that are coming up are very interesting and I appreciate learning more about my family every time! :)

6. A Lace Doily Curtain by Blessed Hearth ~ Faye has lovingly transformed her collection of doilies into a dainty lace curtain! I love this idea and want to do something similar but as a vanity runner I am thinking.

In other news, I have been working on making the switch for this blog's printables to Google Docs since so many had troubles with the last program. Our latest addition is the free pattern for our (extremely easy-to-sew) soft baby burp cloths. Happy homemaking!
