“The house was neat and cosy again. The tea-kettle hummed, the fire shone brightly from the draughts above the stove hearth. Snow swished against the windows.”
~ Laura Ingalls Wilder, On the Banks of Plum Creek

ReplyDeleteMy darling, special friend,
ReplyDeleteI thought that, as a teacher in love with ancient ways of life and traditions, you'll certainly appreciate this Victorian Christmas ABC, forgotten and 'lost' for more than 120 years on a shelf of the Oxford University Library in London ... it's something like a relic, isn't it ?
Sending blessings on the start of your new week, always nearer to Christmas Time !
With sincere love, admiration and gratitude
Dany

ReplyDeleteThanks for the linkup.
God Bless
The painting you've shared with us this week is really lovely. The little girl sewing beside her mother is just adorable. Love the quote, too.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your guests, and a wonderful week!
Thanks so much for the
ReplyDeleteparty!!

I always love your linkup. Thank you for hosting!
ReplyDeleteThe Seasons at Home magazine looks absolutely lovely!
ReplyDeleteNow, I am going to go out on a limb and ask if anyone knows the name of a free digital magazine that exists out there - it was based on homemaking and homeschooling with a country bent - it had a name like "Country Blessings" or something like that (but that isn't it). I started reading the October issue online a while back, it had a photo on the front cover of a barn silo against a blue background. I really enjoyed the magazine and wanted to finish reading it, but I couldn't find my bookmark and I couldn't remember what it was called! If anyone could fill me in I'd be so glad.
Thanks for a great party and have a wonderful week!
