"The woman’s task is not easy—no task worth doing is easy—but in doing it, and when she has done it, there shall come to her the highest and holiest joy known to mankind; and having done it, she shall have the reward prophesied in Scripture; for her husband and her children, yes, and all people who realize that her work lies at the foundation of all national happiness and greatness, shall rise up and call her blessed."
~ Theodore Roosevelt, On American Motherhood, 1905
There are so many wonderful features in the making of a home. This is a place where I would love for you to share your love for anything home-related. Homemaking, homeschooling and homesteading are all a part of the lovely art of home-making!
~~Please link up posts in the spirit of Titus 2 and Proverbs 31 (such as recipes, godly encouragement, DIY's, frugal living, child-raising, medicine making, preparedness, gardening, home decoration, school lessons, sewing, crafts, etc).~~ You are welcome to share as many posts as you like!
{I would love for you to choose at least one of these hand-picked posts and leave some comment love!}
1. Under-protective Parenting by Teach the Younger Women ~ I can't give this article enough "Amens!". This woman says my sentiments perfectly!!! Please read this for some common sense, proverbial parenting.
2. Nature Journals {Looking Closer} by Honeybranch ~ If a picture tells a thousand words, then you will be filled with inspiration to start nature journaling with your children. This post was a lovely nudge for me to get back on track!
3. What NOT to Say to Someone Who Has Cancer by Mom's Morning Coffee ~ I think the title says it all. And I always appreciate advice from someone who has "been there". Thank you Candy.
4. Homemade Vanilla Coffee Creamer by Little Shack on the Hill ~ Though I finally kicked the coffee creamer addiction, I liked this recipe because it is made completely from scratch (no can of sweetened condensed milk necessary) and would be a treat to serve for when company comes.
5. A Civil War "Housewife" by The Country Handmaiden ~ And lastly, I was absolutely smitten with this beautiful, historical sewing project! Please take a stroll over to view the whole piece (what a lovely place to visit too!). This would make a nice mother and daughter project!
