The Art of Home-Making Mondays ~ Please Join Us ~ Link Up #16

"To the women {in the hamlet}, home was home in a special sense, for nine-tenths of their lives were spent indoors. There they washed and cooked and cleaned and mended for their teeming families; there they enjoyed their precious half-hour's peace with a cup of tea before the fire in the afternoon... At times when things did not press too heavily upon them they found pleasure in re-arranging their few poor articles of furniture, in re-papering the walls and making quilts and cushions of scraps of old cloth to adorn their dwelling and add to its comfort..."
~ Flora Thompson, Lark Rise to Candleford

There are so many wonderful features in the making of a home. This is a place where I would love for you to share your love for anything home-related. Homemaking, homeschooling and homesteading are all a part of the lovely art of home-making!

~~Please link up posts in the spirit of Titus 2 and Proverbs 31 (such as recipes, godly encouragement, DIY's, frugal living, child-raising, medicine making, preparedness, gardening, home decoration, school lessons, etc).~~ You are welcome to share as many posts as you like!

* This week we are featuring our "Favorite 5" posts from last week *

If you have read this blog for some time, then you know how much I love the clothesline! Tessa at The Homestead Lady wrote a charming post about her new adventures without a dryer in the Little House and Line Drying

If you are feeling creative, you will want to visit Stephanie from The Enchanting Rose where she shares a sweet tutorial for making a "Shabby Bible Cover" from an old sham. It makes you wonder what lovely old linens that you can repurpose for such a project.

BJ at Sweet Nothings shares how she made these vintage paper bird place cards. Of course, the homeschooling mother in me immediately thought of what a cute paper-craft it would make for a unit study on birds. These would also make darling decorations in your school area!

While we are on the subject of school, Cheryl at Homespun Devotions shares Eleven Homeschooling Tips that will help to keep your priorities in the right place as many of you begin the new year.

And finally, I don't know about you, but I love hearing how other women spend their day. How does their schedule go? Tracy at Our Simple Life shares "A Day in the Life of a Homemaking Homesteader". It was such a pleasant read for me.

For the sake of our readers, please link up appropriate and wholesome home-related articles and leave out any giveaways, advertisements, etc. Thank you for understanding! I can't wait to see what you all have to share!

Please copy the button below (html code is in box below it) and share on your blog post or side-bar so others can come and join in the link up as well!
